Role Objective

As the Global Director of Business Operations & Strategy, you will drive strategic alignment and operational excellence to scale advertising and retail media monetization. This high-impact role reports directly to the SVP of Advertising and Commercialization and partners closely with C-suite executives, regional leadership, and cross-functional teams in product, sales, and finance.

You’ll play a key role in standardizing and optimizing global monetization strategies and establishing a high-performance advertising operation. This position is based in Berlin, Germany, with expectations to transition from remote work to a hybrid setup.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of a global strategy to drive advertising and retail media monetization across all business lines
  • Enhance operational efficiency by standardizing agreements, streamlining processes, and aligning finance and sales integration
  • Identify and implement opportunities to optimize pricing models, media assets, and go-to-market strategies to fuel revenue growth
  • Align regional teams, category management, and media sales functions under a unified strategic vision
  • Deliver executive-level insights through structured reporting on KPIs, revenue performance, and investment outcomes

Your Profile

  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in strategy consulting or high-growth environments within AdTech, Media, or Retail sectors
  • Deep understanding of digital advertising, media monetization, or marketing strategy
  • Strong financial expertise with the ability to design monetization frameworks, measure performance, and optimize ROI
  • Proven experience managing stakeholders within complex, matrixed global organizations
  • Excellent command of English, both written and spoken; other languages are advantageous
  • Skilled in leading diverse, cross-functional teams in an international setting
  • Able to communicate insights and strategies clearly to senior leadership and key partners
  • Comfortable in dynamic, fast-paced, and evolving environments akin to a startup culture
  • Exceptional ability to distill complex information for executive decision-making
  • Demonstrated consultative abilities, relationship-building skills, and a proactive, results-driven mindset
  • Willingness to travel as needed for client engagements and team collaboration
  • Cultural sensitivity and an understanding of global business practices
  • Executive-level presentation skills, both verbal and written
